The Postal Service in Spain is called Correos.

Sending a letter

  • Post Boxes in Spain are yellow. Generally the Post Boxes are large free standing boxes in towns with small wall mounted boxes in villages.
  • International Mail is price banded. Please check for current rates.

Receiving a letter

  • Correos run a Poste Restante service for those wishing to receive mail. To use this service the letter should be addressed care of 'Lista de Correos' and the town.
  • If there is more than one Post Office for that town then the letter will go to the main Post Office.

Postage Stamps

  • Stamps can be bought at Correos Offices. Tabacos (Tobacconist) may also sell the common denominations for Postcards and Letters.

Post Offices

  • The main Correos Offices in Spain are open 8am - 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 7pm Saturdays.
  • Other Correos Offices in the villages and suburbs are open 9am - 2pm Mondays to Friday and 9am - 1pm Saturday.
